Speak To The Trees

It’s amazing how we aren’t taught these skills, yet I truly believe that every human possess them. It’s unnatural not to. Our human history is interwined with the history of trees. Our ancestors used to live in trees. We used trees to hunt and survive. We used trees in rituals and sacred ceremonies. We respected trees as elders and admired their strength and wisdom. In many cultures they are seen and understood as being sacred, wise and spiritual. Trees were and still are connected to the divine.

I’m an explorer and believer of past lives, and although I am yet to come across this life, I truly believe that previously I have been deeply connected with trees. My respect for and connection with trees in this life is too deeply embedded for me to ignore the possibility.

Taking away the people that we can’t influence change on, why do those who feel not tap into this true power? Is it down to lack of awareness? Or is it because of the fear on how they may be perceived? Or is it because they think it’s silly? I don’t know, but I want to encourage this conversation.

For myself, I’ve gained so much from my friendship with the trees. They’ve gotten me through heartaches, pain and confusion. They’ve been one of my biggest supporters. My cheerleaders. They acknowledge and understand me because they’ve seen me. They’ve seen us. They’ve seen us from the very start. They’ve experienced how we used to live with and around them. They’ve seen the direction humanity has gone in and it saddens them like it saddens us. They want the best for us because when we glow, life around us glows too. When we are fed in every way life is glorious, and we dance and flow with it. They love it.

We all possess the skill to communicate with them; we just have to get started first.

Ver thought provoking insight into your relationship ( if that’s the right word) with trees 🌳. I love trees especially the huge old ones with gnarled trunks and intertwined roots . So much history and wisdom there . Personally I prefer to lean against a tree rather than give it a hug but give a pat maybe sometimes πŸ€”. I love the way their colours change with the seasons , beautiful. Do you remember when you were little collecting leaves and doing bark rubbings, making collages? Not to mention climbing trees or finding a really good strong branch that you turned into a horse to ride . ❀️

I actually don’t remember making the collages, I do remember finding branches to ride. One I’ll never forget is in the Lake District

It’s funny how they have always been a part of my life in different ways <3

Thought provoking chat . Personally I prefer leaning against a tree so I can look up into the branches rather than being a tree hugger . I find walking amongst trees creates a sense of security within me particularly if the trees are in a wood or forest .

My mum prefers to lean on them too. I feel supported when I lean against them. Being in a forest makes me feel whimsical, they bring a bit of magic to the area
